Dr. Khademazad places and restores dental implants. Using the latest technology, he offers both conventional and mini implants.
Implants are an increasingly popular alternative to dentures and bridges. Restoring your smile to its natural beauty has never been easier. Implants provide the most advanced solution for missing teeth, allowing you to talk, eat and smile with absolute confidence. They have many advantages, including their natural appearance, improved comfort and unequaled convenience. If you are considering implants, we can discuss the considerations and help you make the decision that is right for you.
Dr. Khademazad uses the MDI Mini Implant System. The MDI System consists of a miniature titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth and a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the base of your denture. The head of the implant is shaped like a ball, and the retaining fixture acts like a socket that contains a rubber O-ring. The O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture at a predetermined level of force. When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum tissue. The implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural lifting forces.
Dentures and partials no longer have to be uncomfortable, loose fitting, noisy and difficult to eat with.
Recent advances in Prosthodontics and denture fabrication processes, coupled with the intelligent use of mini dental implants enables creative dentists to offer treatment outcomes that were once thought unaffordable by many patients.
Many, if not most, denture wearers have difficulty dealing with the way an upper denture fits ... and feels in their mouth. A reflexive gag response is not uncommon. Mini implants placed in the upper jaw enable many patients to have their denture trimmed, getting rid of the acrylic portion the covers the roof of the mouth. Similar to a fixed bridge, a denture retained by mini implants can provide the comfort and confidence that a fixed bridge provides.
Dr. Khademazad provides a wide variety of tooth replacement technologies that incorporate the use of mini implants. In certain situations, congenitally missing front teeth or teeth that are not in heavy function may be restored with mini implants and fixed crowns.
Implant placement is usually dictated by the integrity of the jawbone and usually varies from patient to patient. While this graphic shows placement of 4 implants, many patients may choose to have more implants placed, wherever possible.
Mini implants, because of their inherent design features and size, often eliminates the need for time consuming bone grafting procedures which typically require several months of healing.
The affordability of mini implant treatment makes it a great alternative to conventional implant treatment, when bone grafting and other costly, time consuming procedures are necessary to make conditions more favorable for conventional implants. Patients with special circumstances regarding current tissue health and the appropriateness of implant surgery are invited to contact Dr. Khademazad for assistance in obtaining the information needed for making an informed treatment decision.
